Even though I have no company logo on my car, I still abide the traffic laws of my country - I mean, what if someone recogniced me going too fast or driving irresponsible?

Drive nice in your company car

Published 30.12.2016

Maybe I tend to overthink thing, but I believe it's important to be aware of the signals you send to other people around you. I'm not trying to be some kind of saint here, I've just grown a little sick of selfish people on the roads, always only thinking about them selves.

TL;DR: Drive bad and others will think bad of you

If your identity is visible to other drivers as you act wreckless in traffic, they will probably think bad about you and get bad associations with you identity. If that identity is that of your company or the company you work for, others will get bad associations with that company. How's that profitable? (Hint: It's really not).

I seem to have spotted a tendency

At least here in Denmark, where I live, there seems to be a bad tendency of company cars driving wreckless in traffic. I'm not generalizing - of course not everyone of this certain segment drives wreckless, but I've seen it happen a lot.

I'm sure some of my fellow danes can agree with me, when I say, that especially craftsmen businesses company cars, have a tendency to drive to fast, pass by when it's not legal or even cross a red light. Does the people driving the car never think about the consequences of these actions? It seems not.

I take notice and I'm sure others do as well!

I'll have you know, that I do take notice of, which companies the cars belong to - and whenever I need a carpender, I'm not gonna pick that company.

Why the hell not?

You may say, that this is none of my concern and that they never hurt anyone by driving around as they like. And maybe you're right.

However, what is of my concern, is how the work I ordered gets done. And if the craftsmen I hire to do fix my stuff is so careless of other people, why would they care about me or the even the product or service they deliver?

I simply can't deal with this careless attitude towards the world. I cannot believe, that their carelees attitude will not affect other traits of their persona and that they're even able to care about anything at all.

What do I really want?

I expect from other people to pay respect to others - if you cannot respect others, then why would you respect your own product or service?

I expect good craftmanship and thought behind the product or service I invest my money in. If I can't have that, I don't want anything at all. The same goes for any other situation, whether I buy a new piece of eletronic or a steak at the supermarket.

It seems to be some general carelessness

I'm not the first one to discuss this topic, but it does seem consumers get more and more careless about the products they buy. If one can get a cheap and poorly manufactured compy from China, why would one spend ten times the money on the real deal?

If we all continues to have this careless attitude towards the products we consume or the services we order, why would the craftsmen and the manufactors even care about making those good products?

Stand up for your own wellbeing! You deserve quality! Bother about the products you buy and the service you order! Demand to get what you deserve!

This would make the world a better place.
